Yay! It is Short Course
season. Welcome back and a big welcome to new swimmers! You can try out Lobo
Aquatic Club free for one week beginning August 30th. Contact Coach Doug
Forbes if you have questions: call 505-417-7807 or email coachdforbes@aol.com
Practices are held at
the recently renovated Olympic-size UNM pool. Drop off swimmers on the west
side of the pool. You can park in the garage nearby.
It has been a memorable
Long Course season. We had the Chinese swimmers visit, team trips to Arizona
and Colorado, awesome local meets, and great results at Sectionals, State,
Nationals, and Zones. There were great performances by all our swimmers at
the recent state meet - individually and on relays as well! Lobo placed
second out of the 21 teams there. We had many top eight finishes, individual
state champions, multiple event winners, top eight relay finishes, relay
wins, and high point age group top three finishers! Way to go Lobo!
Look for photos in the gallery soon.
A special thanks to all
the Lobo family volunteers all season. Our welcome back potluck will be
Tuesday, September 14. You will have a chance to sign up for board and
volunteer positions then. We appreciate everyone’s help!

Lobo Aquatic Club is
run by the coach and a board of volunteers. Being on the board is a great way
to learn more about the sport of swimming and our program. Parents will have
an opportunity to join the board or find other volunteer positions in
September.
